Mental Maths Olympiad

iMMO stands for International Mental Maths Olympiad. iMMO Olympiad organized by Mind Power Education LLP, India to unleash the hidden potential of Young Icons at International Level.

Mental Arithmetic(iMMO) is a healthy brain stimulant which promotes the use of both left and right brain simultaneously. The left brain has been the dominant function for most people worldwide. Many do not fully utilize or develop the use of their right brain. This is especially true for young children.

Mental Arithmetic(iMMO) does more than help children improve math grades. Young students of a certain level can already do addition and subtraction of large numbers without any devices with continuous practice from KG onwards. The iMMO gives a platform for students from KG to 12th Grade to give an assessment of school arithmetic calculation mainly addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Here is an example of Gamma 5 questions of iMMO. Total number of questions is 50 and the time limit is 5 min.
2 + 1 + 7 + 1 + 5 - 3 + 2 + 8 ( 1 Digit 6 Rows)
95 + 17 + 60 (2 Digit, 3 Rows)

How is this possible?

The iMMO methodology and brilliant use of left-right brain processes makes performing such a mathematical calculation easy even for pre-schoolers. The children calculate all the given sums (50 sums) within 5 minutes and with constant practice tend to require almost half the time given.

Some children take time even less than 5 min, for e.g. 1 min 35 sec to complete the entire paper. IMMO helps children compare their rank with the topper based on time and marks. We take out a Navmo Percentile called NPI using an algorithm based on topper mark and topper time, we calculate percentile for all other children in that particular level and Group. The ranking shows school/centre wise rank National Level and Group rank and International Rank.
